Building Board of Adjustments applications available through Oct. 26

AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn City Council is accepting applications to fill two vacancies on the Building Board of Adjustments. The terms will begin Nov. 3 and end on Nov. 2, 2030.
The Building Board of Adjustments is responsible for hearing appeals of rulings made by City of Auburn building officials interpreting the following codes: International Building Code, International Residential Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Fire Code, International Property Maintenance Code and the National Electrical Code.
The board consists of five members who serve four-year terms. The board must consist of two architects, two engineers from different specialization areas and a general contractor. The board meets as needed in the Development Services Building Conference Room.
Those interested in serving are invited to apply online using the link at auburnal.gov/boards-and-commissions/vacancies. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Oct. 26. The City Council will make appointments at its Nov. 3 meeting.
